Homestay

IMG_7218Each summer, Breakthrough SJC hires outstanding teaching fellows from colleges and universities across the country to teach and mentor our students. As part of our effort to attract the best and the brightest to our summer teaching positions, we offer home stays for out-of-town college students. Breakthrough SJC is looking for welcoming families who can provide eight weeks of summer housing for our teaching fellows. As a Homestay family you will have to provide:

  • A comfortable place to sleep
  • A place for the teacher to work
  • Access to food for meals
  • Access to laundry facilities
  • Clear expectations and rules of your home

Homestay families are not expected to provide:

  • Transportation
  • Home cooked meals
  • Recreational activities on weekends

Homestay families would host from June 13, 2017 to August 9, 2017.
