Become a Summer Teaching Fellow

Breakthrough San Juan Capistrano’s summer teaching fellowship is a life-changing experience for students and teachers alike. Teaching fellows receive firsthand experience creating and implementing lesson plans. Teaching fellows receive 8 days of teacher training and on-going professional development and support from Breakthrough Directors and Mentor Teachers. The Princeton Review has ranked Breakthrough as a Top Ten summer internship and Breakthrough Collaborative partners with many prestigious teaching programs such as Teach For America, Urban Teacher Center and MATCH Teacher Residency.

Become an In-Session Teacher! (School Year Tutoring) 

Breakthrough SJC is looking for talented high school students in Orange County to provide homework help and enrichment for Breakthrough seventh and eighth grade students attending Marco Forster Middle School. In-Session teachers will receive ongoing training and must be available to teach Tuesdays and /or Thursdays from 3:20-4:30 p.m. at Marco Forster Middle School, 25601 Camino del Avion, San Juan Capistrano, CA 92675.

Become a College Bound Tutor! (School Year Tutoring)

In order to support Breakthrough students through their high school experience, we are looking for high school and college students to serve as tutor. Tutors will receive ongoing training and must be available to work with students on Wednesdays and/or Thursdays from 4:00-6:00 p.m. at the Boys & Girls Club of San Juan Capistrano.
